“Lori Ostlund is a little tired. Sitting at a small table in Ingleside’s bustling Fog Lifter Café, she seems alert. But by her reckoning she got about two hours of sleep last night. She couldn’t stop thinking about the impending release of her debut novel, “After The Parade.”
“The middle of the night is always a good opportunity to worry about everything,” she jokes. Or maybe she’s half-joking. It’s hard to tell because Ostlund’s humor is all Midwestern: understated, dry, and ever so gently barbed.”
